Marketing bull $hit everywhere. How can so slack seat tube be good for climbing? Moves your ass back, so while pedaling uphill you have front wheel lifted off the ground permanently.
I don't have a dirtbike.
All I need is reliability. Every closed cartridge that is not user serviceable is useless. I've seen many closed cartridge failures in past few years, that I realy don't want that kind of shit. All parts inside a cartridge wear out, so you have a mix of oil, alluminium, plastic and whatever is inside fork. All these things alter damping. So if you are racing with elka equipped fork, you have to make maintenance, if you can't make it at home, you have to send it to elka and that costs a money. Not to mention time without fork internals waiting for them to arrive.
Holy cow, pressurized closed cartridge, nightmares come true. Elka is just trying to offer something different, so everyone who wants to be different will buy it. Than will pay $100 four times every season to get it fixed and oil replaced.
First try to read, then start dissapoitment BS over here. There's Scratch 9 model with coil sprung suspension, single chain ring with chain guide and all the other sh!t that you "freeriders" need. Scratch air is for those who need to get up the hill to start downhill or however someone calls it.
I've heard that if you remove floodgate you loose part of compression damping. So there's need to modify shimstack. About Us
